Creative Weddings for Budget Limiting Expenditure

It goes without saying that weddings can be pretty expensive affairs. Perhaps it is because it is a special occasion that most of us hope to go through only once in our lives, that most of us try to make it as memorable as possible. However, memorable doesn't necessarily have to mean expensive...

For instance, if you look online, you can find wedding invitations that are not only
affordable but elegant, too. With a little creativity and ingenuity you can still create the bang you want without having to blow your budget.

Another thing I've learned through my own wedding is that DIY may be more time consuming, but it always ends up costing you less than hiring a professional. Wedding planners are for those people who don't have the time to plan their own weddings because they're too busy making money. Regardless of what they say about being able to get flowers, dresses, venues, etc. at discounted prices, I still find that going direct is still the best way to go. Whatever commission your planner gets for using a particular service usually ends up pushing up your price to the equivalent of a walk in customer.

If you can forgo having your wedding gown as a keepsake of your wedding, then hiring is probably more cost-effective than having one specially made. Some photography packages come with a wedding dress included that you can use for the day. If you are willing to pay a little more, you could probably even get them to make you a new dress without the full cost of having to buy one yourself.

The key to keeping a wedding affordable is to be creative. The other benefit of creativity is that you could end up with a unique idea that makes your wedding even more special than if you were to go along with the same-old customary ideas for weddings.
