The Value of Gift Baskets

In Asia, part and parcel of doing business is to take care of your customers with that extra personal touch. This usually means sending Gift Baskets for business and corporate relationship building exercises. During my days in the corporate world, we would often receive numerous gift baskets during any festive season which were sent to us from our suppliers. Likewise, we would also send gift baskets to our customers to remember them.

Although I'm not sure about it in this country, I do know that such practices are Business Gift Tax Deductable in some countries so there is more than one way to benefit from following these practices. Not only do you build your relationship with your customers and clients, but you also reap the tax benefits for doing something beneficial for your company. Not only is it beneficial to the company, but in some instances, not following such practices is not only a disadvantage for your company but it can also be detrimental to your company's success. In such instances, being "penny wise" could result in being "pound foolish".

Even though I am no longer in the corporate world my hubby still deals with Corporate Gift Services for his business customers. However, I find keeping tabs on such services can come in handy not only for corporate gifts but for other occasions as well. These suppliers don't only specialise in corporate gifts but they also make gift baskets for weddings, birthdays, baby events, congratulations and any other event or purpose you might require a gift basket for. Gift baskets are a terrific idea when you don't know what else to give in such events.
